Job Title: Remote Data Engineer - Azure Databricks

Location: Remote

Hiring 3 Data Engineers (Remote)

Vikgol is looking for experienced Data Engineers to design, build, and maintain our cloud data infrastructure. This is a 100% remote, full-time position where you will work with cutting-edge technologies like Azure Databricks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Databricks.
  • Move data from various sources into Azure platforms (Data Lake, Synapse, SQL DB).
  • Work with data teams to provide clean, reliable datasets for analysis and machine learning.
  • Ensure high data quality, security, and governance standards.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot data systems for performance and reliability.
  • Help design data models and architectures for business intelligence.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Must have strong experience with Azure Databricks (or AWS Databricks).
  • Hands-on experience with Azure data services (Data Lake, Synapse, etc.).
  • Proficient in SQL and Python.
  • Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT, data modeling, and data warehousing.
  • Experience with Git for version control.
  • Must be a problem-solver and a strong team player.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Azure or Databricks certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory or Airflow.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies (like Spark).
  • Exposure to MLOps is beneficial.
