Role & responsibilities

  • Mechanical Engineering, working in a Multidisciplinary Team, interfacing and coordinating with the other disciplines
  • Water / Wastewater Treatment Design
  • Providing Outline and Detailed Mechanical Design Deliverables, including;
  • Pumping Systems Design, Hydraulic calculations and Pump Selection
  • Pumping Station Design
  • General Arrangements
  • Piping and Fittings Design
  • Access and Lifting for Water / Wastewater Treatment Process Plant
  • Plant and Equipment Selection for Water / Wastewater Treatment Process
  • Developing P&IDs in conjunction with other design disciplines
  • Experience in UK Water Project is preferred.
  • Participation in Design Review, Hazard Studies and Access Lifting and Maintenance Review
  • Ensuring design output is completed in accordance with the agreed scope of works, timescales and budgets.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of design in the water industry.
  • An appreciation of the implications of works on the environment and knowledge of sustainable solutions, water and wastewater processes and health and safety legislation.
  • The ability to work with engineers from all disciplines and other industry professionals to optimise and develop bespoke and innovative designs.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT or Plant 3D as well as MS Office Software.
  • Strong interpersonal / team working skills, with a good working relationship with all levels of the organisation, clients and contractors
