Job Summary

Booking Holdings is currently undergoing a Finance Transformation initiative that will drive effective finance support for business management; promote strong governance and control in the organization; and have a world-class finance organization in terms of execution and efficiency. As part of this initiative, the Global Business Services team will provide centralized operational accounting processes from our Center of Excellence in Bengaluru, India. Reporting to the Regulatory Reporting Team Lead , this role will be responsible for the preparation of statutory financial preparation and reporting, government reporting, value-added tax reporting and internal and external audit requirements for a specific group of entities.

The Regulatory Accountant will be responsible for the following:

  • Preparing US GAAP to local GAAP trial balance bridge and financial statements
  • Maintaining work papers on all journal entries and adjustments in the statutory/local books
  • Performing value-added tax ("VAT") calculations and analysis
  • Summarizing VAT reports and returns
  • Compiling and coordinating all government reporting information
  • Entering data to report to government authorities through a template or website
  • Submitting extensions for filing requirements, as needed
  • Preparing and fulfilling internal and external audit documentation requests
  • Preparing the supporting documentation for any authority audit inquiries
  • Maintaining the audit trail and all supporting documentation for Statutory, VAT and Government filings

Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Broad job knowledge (3-5 years)
  • Sound knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and SOX
  • Experience with VAT, Statutory Audit and Government Reporting, preferred.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, OneSource, OneStream, and BlackLine, preferred.
  • Excel proficiency required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools, preferred.
  • Detail-oriented, strong analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
  • Accountability and Trust. Unquestionable integrity and ethics.
  • Experience working with global teams in different time zones.
