Role: Senior Data Engineer

Location: On-site – Gurgaon / Pune

Experience: 4- 6 years & 6–8 years

● Hive / HBase / Impala / Parquet

● Airflow, Kafka

● CI/CD (Jenkins / Bamboo)

● GitHub / Bitbucket

● Nexus

● (DLT preferred)

Key Responsibilities and Results

● Design and implement data ingestion pipelines from multiple sources using Azure Databricks.

● Ensure data pipelines run smoothly and efficiently.

● Develop scalable and reusable frameworks for ingesting datasets.

● Integrate end-to-end data pipelines to move data from source systems to target repositories while maintaining quality and consistency.

● Work with event-based / streaming technologies to ingest and process data.

● Collaborate with project team members to deliver additional components (API interfaces, Search). ● Evaluate performance and applicability of multiple tools against customer requirements.

● Provide technical expertise in Cloud and Databricks, offering guidance and issue resolution.

● Provide on-call and afterhours/weekend support when required.

● Fulfill service requests related to the Data Analytics platform.

● Lead optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

● Act as gatekeeper, conducting technical reviews of changes during release management.

● Ensure adherence to data security standards and platform security controls.

● Design, develop, and deploy advanced data pipelines and analytical workflows on the Databricks Lakehouse platform.

● Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to build and scale end-to-end data solutions.

● Own architectural decisions while ensuring adherence to governance, security, and compliance requirements.

● Mentor data engineers by providing technical guidance, career development, and implementing CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
