Protection Design Engineer

- Good working knowledge on design of control, protection, metering, and monitoring systems for LV/ MV/ HV/ EHV substations from concept design to construction drawings. Working knowledge on T&D functions w.r.t construction in coordination with other engineering disciplines.
- Working knowledge on control, protection, metering, and monitoring systems pertaining to control & protection schemes, CT/ PT calculations, relay setting calculations etc.
- Strong Knowledge of SAS system, IED relays, IEC61850, and interface with SCADA and communication
- Familiar with relevant codes & standards International electro-technical commission (IEC), IEEE, BS (British Standards), Regional Standards, Quality and Metrology Organization (SASO), SEC standards etc.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of design software – DIGSI, PCM600, MICOM AGILE, Envista, SEL, Building Designer, MicroStation, AutoCAD etc.
- Be passionate about protection systems and the power environment. Be a creative leader in design and project management. Have excellent technical skills and be able to mentor staff in their own development and the development of projects.
- Good communication skills, both in presentation and documentation with a good command over English.
