Job Title: Security Application Engineer

Location: Pune

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Security Application Engineer to strengthen our product security posture across the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in product security and application security, with foundational knowledge of network security. The role involves identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security risks using leading security tools and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and implement product and application security initiatives across development teams.
  • Conduct secure code reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments for applications and services.
  • Integrate security tools and processes into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define and enforce secure design principles.
  • Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities during development and post-deployment phases.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and security awareness to developers and stakeholders.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience in Product Security and Application Security.
  • Fundamental understanding of Network Security concepts.
  • Experience in secure SDLC practices, code scanning, and vulnerability management.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard security frameworks (OWASP, NIST, ISO

Tools & Technologies:

Proficiency with the following tools is mandatory:

  • Coverity (Static Code Analysis)
  • Nessus (Vulnerability Assessment)
  • Black Duck (Open Source Security & Compliance)
  • Threat Modeler / Irius Risk (Threat Modeling Tools)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CEH, OSCP, CSSLP, CISSP, or GWAPT) are a plus.
  • Experience collaborating in DevSecOps environments.
