Role & responsibilities

Patient monitoring and assessment: Assess patients' health, monitor vital signs, and report changes to the doctor or charge nurse.

  • Medication and treatment administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including intravenous fluids, as ordered by physicians.
  • Clinical procedures: Perform and assist with various medical procedures, such as wound dressing, taking blood samples, catheterization, and preparing for examinations or surgeries.
  • Patient and family education: Provide health education to patients and their families regarding their condition, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
  • Documentation: Accurately and promptly document all patient care, observations, and procedures in the patient's medical record.
  • Care coordination: Collaborate with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.

General duties

  • Ensure patient safety and maintain a clean and secure environment.
  • Assist with patient hygiene, including bathing and making beds.
  • Manage and report on inventory of medicines and medical supplies.
  • Handle the collection and labeling of specimens for lab tests.
  • Act as a patient advocate to ensure their preferences and concerns are addressed.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, including those for biomedical waste management and confidentiality.
  • Participate in continuing education and skill development programs.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Well qualified nurse with good grooming and communication skills
  • Worked in Fertility centre, maternity hospital is preferred.
  • Should be willing to work in shifts.
