Role & responsibilities
- Help clients to develop results-driven strategies, which include financial spreading and modelling, critical industry or market analyses, competitive benchmarking and opportunity assessments through in-depth research.
- Analyse historical financial data and market trends to update model assumptions and projections.
- Assist clients with complex financial modelling assignments in the Private Equity and Private Credit space, working on a variety of models such as LBO, DCF and Fund models.
- Fund performance: Analyze fund level cash flows, distribution, fee structures, and return metrics and valuation of fund assets and liabilities using industry-standard methodologies.
- Assist in valuation of securities such as equity, debt and convertibles.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to evaluate target companies performance under different set of assumptions and circumstances.
- Perform trading and transaction comparable analyses and financial statements analyses by applying experience in credit research, including debt analysis, covenant monitoring, cash flow conversion, capital structure, etc.
- Investment Opportunity Identification: Identifying emerging and high-growth sectors for investment assessment through market analysis such as market size, historical and projected growth rates, emerging market trends, key drivers, etc.
- Interact with senior professionals at private equity firms and corporations.
- Conduct quality checks of client deliverables
- Other activities include structuring deliverables/teams and developing efficient processes.
- l Demonstrate strength and experience in client/requester relationship building and management and information/knowledge needs assessment.
Preferred candidate profile
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in building financial models from scratch
- 4-8 years of experience in quantitative analysis, including financial spreading and modelling, trading comps, transactions comps, benchmarking, company profiling, capital structure, debt analysis, etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization tools.
- Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Accountant or Master of Business Administration from a top-tier business school.
