Role : Data Engineer

Job Summary :

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with 36 years of experience to join a leading MNC based in Karadi, Pune. The ideal candidate will possess robust expertise in Data engineering, data warehousing, and ETL processes. This role requires strong proficiency in SQL development and will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that transform raw data into actionable insights, supporting both business intelligence and advanced analytics functions.

Primary Responsibility & Core Functions :

Data Pipeline and ETL Development :

- Design, construct, install, test, and maintain robust data management systems and processing pipelines for scalable data ingestion and transformation.

- Demonstrate strong, hands-on experience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and toolsets to move, cleanse, and transform data from various source systems into the data warehouse.

- Optimize data pipeline performance and reliability, establishing clear data governance and quality standards.

Data Warehousing and Database Proficiency :

- Apply deep experience with Data engineering principles, including dimensional modeling and schema design specifically for data warehousing environments (e.g., Snowflake, Teradata, Redshift).

- Exhibit Strong experience in SQL development, including writing complex stored procedures, functions, advanced queries, and optimizing database performance for high-volume data retrieval.

- Collaborate with architects and business intelligence developers to ensure the data warehouse structure supports analytical and reporting requirements.

Collaboration and Process Improvement :

- Work closely with data scientists and analysts to support their data needs and ensure data accessibility.

- Implement and maintain documentation related to data flows, data models, and ETL processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Experience : 3 to 6 years of professional experience in Data Engineering roles.

Core Data Skills : Mandatory experience with Data engineering, data warehousing, and ETL methodologies.

Database Proficiency : Strong experience in SQL development, including advanced query writing and performance optimization.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have) :

- Knowledge and exposure to MLOps (Machine Learning Operations) practices and tooling.

- Experience designing or managing components of a Data Lake infrastructure (e.g., using S3, ADLS, or Delta Lake).

- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Google Cloud Dataflow).

- Proficiency in a programming language used for data manipulation (e.g., Python, Scala).
