Job Description:

We are seeking a proficient and independent AWS DevOps Engineer to join our IT department and build scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-based solutions. As a DevOps Engineer with expertise in AWS, Terraform, and CloudFormation, you will be instrumental in automating infrastructure, developing CI/CD pipelines, and optimizing cloud resources.

You will collaborate with development and operations teams to improve system reliability, scalability, and security, while driving infrastructure-as-code (IaC) adoption and scripting-based automation.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services, CloudFormation, and Terraform (IaC).
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using AWS services and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • Write automation scripts/programs in Python, Bash, or PowerShell to streamline deployments, system configurations, and operational workflows.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability, reliability, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues collaboratively with development and operations teams.
  • Automate repetitive operational tasks to reduce manual intervention and human errors.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance within the cloud environment.
  • Manage infrastructure version control and ensure consistent deployments across environments.
  • Document infrastructure configurations, automation processes, and operational best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, with a strong focus on AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Hands-on expertise with AWS services, CloudFormation, and Terraform (IaC).
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and infrastructure management.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
  • Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes – preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
