PD - Product Design Engineer

Key Qualifications

Essential skills or experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in product design or mechanical engineering is required.
  • 10+ years' experience in product design (preferably consumer electronic products i.e. Handheld/portable device)
  • Proficient in written English (95%@work) and experience collaborate with overseas clients.
  • Strong work ethic with a high degree of flexibility to collaborate with both EMS and Foxconn's PD engineer and cross function team.
  • Comfort working in a quickly changing environment within product development phases and builds.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with process management design for electronic assembly and handheld tool design.

Preferred (or what we offer for training):

  • Proven ability in 3D CAD modeling systems and workflow, UG NX or Solidworks fluency desirable.
  • understanding knowledge of mechanical design principles, including GD&T, materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
  • Working with Labs and knowing the equipment to resolve issues.

  • BS/MS in product/industrial design or mechanical engineering related fields
  • BE/BTECH
