o Join our innovative Data Science and Data Engineering team at S&P Global's Market Intelligence (MI) Enterprise Solutions. Responsibilities and Impact:
o Assist in developing models, algorithms, and data pipelines to provide actionable insights to clients.
o Contribute to data science product development from Proof of Concept to productization, gaining hands-on experience in the full data science life cycle.
o Learn and apply various machine learning techniques to help develop new products or enhance existing analytics offerings.
o Collaborate with business stakeholders and product managers to deliver outstanding products that meet customer expectations.
o Identify opportunities for innovation within the organization, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
o Be part of a global team on a technology journey, working on products that cover multiple asset classes with real-time reporting capabilities.
What We're Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
o A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics) or equivalent experience.
o Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience in a related field.
o Familiarity with coding in Python (basic to intermediate level) and understanding of version control (preferably Git).
o Basic knowledge of databases (e.g., SQL) and experience with data analysis.
Key Soft Skills:
o Ability to translate business problems into data science challenges.
o Effective communication skills to convey technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
o Team-oriented mindset with a curious and open-minded approach to new ideas.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
o Interest in topics such as Probabilistic Graphical Models, Time Series modelling, Generative AI or Operations Research.
o Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
o Exposure to working with large datasets and basic understanding of distributed computing.
