Purpose of Role

To plan and deliver effective Biology instruction for Senior Secondary classes (Grades XI & XII) in alignment with CBSE curriculum, fostering scientific understanding, analytical skills, and practical competence among students.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Biology to Classes XI and XII as per CBSE syllabus and guidelines
• Prepare annual, unit, and lesson plans aligned with learning outcomes
• Conduct practical classes, demonstrations, experiments, and maintain lab records
• Assess, evaluate, and document student performance through tests, assignments, and examinations
• Prepare students for board examinations through revision, doubt-clearing, and remedial sessions
• Maintain accurate academic records, lab inventories, and student portfolios
• Integrate ICT tools and innovative teaching methodologies in classroom instruction
• Participate in curriculum development, academic planning, and departmental meetings
• Guide students in projects, research work, and science-related activities
• Ensure discipline, safety, and ethical conduct in classrooms and laboratories
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress when required
• Participate in school events, workshops, training programs, and professional development activities

• Strong subject knowledge and laboratory management skills

• Ability to explain complex biological concepts clearly and engagingly
