POSITION: Java Technical Lead

Java Technical Lead (Java 17 & Big Data Focus) Overview We are seeking a seasoned and hands-on Java Technical Lead to drive the development and architecture of our enterprise solutions, with a strong emphasis on Big Data processing and backend services. Java Technical Lead (Java 17 & Big Data Focus)

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and hands-on Java Technical Lead to drive the development and architecture of our enterprise solutions, with a strong emphasis on Big Data processing and backend services. This role demands expertise in the latest Java ecosystem combined with extensive experience in Big Data frameworks and distributed systems.

Responsibility

Lead the architecture, design, and development of high-performance, scalable systems using Java 17+, Spring 6.x (Spring Boot, etc.), and Hibernate 5.x.

Design and implement large-scale data processing pipelines using Apache Spark 3.x on clusters, particularly on AWS EMR 6.x, and integrate with persistent storage like HBase 6.x.

Expertise in defining schema and optimizing queries for all database types (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB), covering both relational and NoSQL stores.

Exhibit superior problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges across distributed data systems and backend APIs.

Deep understanding of deployment, scripting, and performance optimization on both Windows and Linux concepts and environments.

Mentor and guide a team of developers, enforcing coding standards, conducting thorough code reviews, and driving technical excellence.

Experience in Product Sustenance Engineering is a plus, including managing technical debt, long-term maintenance, and performing root cause analysis (RCA) on production issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Java & Frameworks: 7+ years of experience with Core Java (17+), deep expertise in Spring 6.x, and JPA/Hibernate 5.x.
  • Big Data Core: Proven, hands-on experience with Apache Spark 3.x and large-scale data processing, data partitioning, and performance tuning.
  • AWS & NoSQL: Solid experience with AWS EMR 6.x for cluster management and processing, and knowledge of HBase 6.x data modeling and integration.
  • Database Agnostic: Demonstrated ability to work with and optimize diverse database technologies.
  • OS Fluency: Proficient with operating system concepts for deployment and troubleshooting on both Windows and Linux.
  • Leadership: Strong communication and leadership skills, with a track record of leading a development team.
  • Problem Solver: Must possess excellent analytical and systematic problem-solving abilities.
