About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled
Embedded C++ Engineer
to take ownership of a third-party
360° VR video monitoring system
and integrate it into a next-generation
In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI)
platform.

In this role, you will work closely with multidisciplinary automotive engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of a 360° VR camera system with vehicle displays, Qualcomm graphics hardware, and QNX-based systems. You will design, optimize, and extend core video rendering, streaming, and communication components that directly shape the modern digital cockpit user experience.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge automotive technologies at scale—including camera image acquisition, graphics pipelines, RPC interfaces, HMI communication, and 360° VR visualization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain source code for a third-party
    360° VR video monitoring component
    .
  • Integrate the VR monitoring component with the vehicle's systems, including IVI architecture and HMI communication flows.
  • Develop and enhance video rendering and processing features (rotation, zoom, view control, compositing, etc.).
  • Implement camera control features including acquisition, tuning, and image processing adjustments.
  • Engineer RPC communication interfaces between HMI and the VR monitoring system.
  • Optimize rendering pipelines utilizing
    Qualcomm graphics hardware
    ,
    OpenGL ES
    ,
    OpenWF Display
    , and
    QNX resources
    .
  • Integrate component workflows into the customer's
    CI/CD pipelines
    .
  • Analyze requirements, design system improvements, and maintain integration documentation.
  • Validate features on customer prototype hardware.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with
    C++14 or newer
    .
  • Hands-on expertise in
    2D graphics rendering
    (blitting, compositing, hardware acceleration, alpha blending).
  • Solid knowledge of
    image processing
    (pixel formats, color spaces, brightness/gamma, saturation).
  • Experience developing on *
    nix systems
    , especially
    QNX
    .
  • Exposure to
    camera data acquisition
    workflows.
  • Experience engineering RPC channels & messaging frameworks.
  • Practical knowledge of programming
    graphics hardware
    (DMA, shaders, pipelines, v-sync).
  • Familiarity with:
  • OpenGL ES
  • ProtoBuf
  • OpenWF Display API
  • Device-level programming on *nix

Nice to Have

  • Software Architecture / AUTOSAR / Digital Cockpit experience
