Purpose:

The HR Head - IR & ER at Adani in Pirpainti, Bihar, plays a crucial role in managing Industrial Relations (IR) and Employee Relations (ER) within the Power/Energy industry. This position requires a seasoned HR professional with 17-25 years of experience who will oversee all aspects of employee relations, including conflict resolution, compliance, and fostering a positive work environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Oversee all aspects of Industrial Relations (IR) and Employee Relations (ER) within the organization.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues through effective conflict resolution strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with senior management to understand the organization's goals and devise HR plans to support them.
  • Lead and mentor the HR team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Participate in negotiations with unions and other labor organizations.
  • Implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance overall employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Provide guidance and support on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular assessments of the HR department's performance and implement improvements as needed.

Technical Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of labor laws and regulations in the Power/Energy industry.
  • Experience in managing unionized workforces and negotiating collective bargaining agreements.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software and MS Office suite.

Non-Negotiable Skills:

  • Expertise in Industrial Relations (IR) and Employee Relations (ER).
  • Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution and negotiations.
  • Strong leadership and strategic HR planning capabilities.
