Job Title: Graphic Designer, Video Editor & Photographer (with Teaching Experience)

Job Overview:

The Stellar Don Bosco Academy, Nerul is seeking a multifaceted creative professional who excels in graphic design, video production, and photography, and who also possesses teaching experience in these disciplines.

The ideal candidate will play a dual role — handling creative content for the Academy's internal and external requirements while also teaching students interested in short-term creative and media courses. The individual should be able to conceptualize, shoot, edit, and deliver high-quality visual content independently, and also mentor students in design and visual storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

Creative Design & Visual Content Development

• Conceptualize and design creative materials for Academy events, publications, advertisements, and digital media.
• Create posters, brochures, banners, newsletters, and other marketing collateral aligned with the Academy's branding.
• Collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to create visually consistent social media and website content.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Photography & Videography

• Plan, shoot, and edit photographs and videos for events, performances, classroom activities, and promotional materials.
• Maintain and operate photography and video equipment (DSLR/mirrorless cameras, lighting setups, audio gear, drones, etc.).
• Capture high-quality visual content for both Academy documentation and creative storytelling.
• Handle assignments independently, including concept planning, shooting, and post-production.

Video Editing & Post-Production

• Edit videos for internal and external communications, social media campaigns, and client projects.
• Incorporate special effects, motion graphics, colour grading, and sound design to enhance video output.
• Maintain an organized digital asset management system for all creative files and media.

Teaching & Mentorship

• Conduct classes and workshops in graphic design, photography, and video editing for interested students.
• Develop and deliver short-term certificate courses in media and visual communication.
• Guide students on creative projects, digital portfolios, and real-world applications of design and visual media.
• Encourage creativity, discipline, and professional work ethics among students.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia, or Fine Arts.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in design, photography, and video editing.
• Teaching experience in related disciplines is mandatory.
• Strong command of professional photography and videography equipment (Canon, Sony, Nikon, etc.).
• Expertise in the following software packages:
• Graphic Design: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva
• Video Editing: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve
• Motion Graphics & Special Effects: Adobe After Effects, Blender (preferred)
• Photography Editing: Adobe Lightroom or Capture One
• Knowledge of digital file formats, compression techniques, and color management.
• Ability to manage end-to-end production — from concept to final delivery.
• Excellent command over spoken and written English with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and professionally.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with drone videography and photography.
• Basic knowledge of UI/UX design or animation.
• Familiarity with AI-driven creative tools (e.g., Adobe Firefly, Runway ML, Midjourney).
• Experience handling client projects and managing creative deliverables professionally.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Quality and creativity of visual content produced for the Academy.
• Student feedback and performance in short-term creative courses.
• Timely completion and delivery of photography/video assignments.
• Engagement and reach of visual content on digital platforms.
• Positive client satisfaction for external editing or design assignments.

Compensation:

Competitive salary based on experience and portfolio, with opportunities for additional income through student workshops and external creative assignments. (3.5L to 5L)
