Role Summary
We are seeking a Hatchery Engineer to join our poultry vaccination services team, based at [Location: Nagpur / Central Part of India (MP/CG)]. The ideal candidate will be a science/engineering graduate with hands-on experience in hatchery operations, poultry vaccination, or animal health equipment.
This role is critical to ensuring smooth functioning of automated vaccination devices, maintaining high vaccination quality standards, and supporting hatchery operations with technical expertise. The candidate will also work closely with customers and internal teams to provide technical support, training, and troubleshooting.
Role Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities critical to the performance of the role include:
- Vaccination Services
- Support poultry vaccination operations (subcutaneous, spray vaccination, etc.) in commercial hatcheries.
- Ensure compliance with company vaccination protocols, biosecurity standards, and customer guidelines.
- Monitor vaccination quality and report deviations with corrective action plans.
- Equipment Handling & Maintenance
- Install, calibrate, and maintain vaccination equipment (subcutaneous injectors, spray cabinets, etc.).
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and on-site repairs to minimize downtime.
- Maintain equipment records, spare parts inventory, and service documentation.
- Training & Customer Support
- Provide hands-on training to hatchery staff on correct vaccination techniques, biosecurity practices, and equipment handling.
- Conduct field visits to monitor device performance and collect customer feedback.
- Support Customers and Hatcheries in delivering consistent vaccination services.
- Compliance & Reporting
- Adhere to company compliance, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
- Prepare service reports, field visit documentation, and technical feedback for management.
- Coordinate with customers and internal team for timely device installation and service support.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 1–3 years of relevant experience in poultry hatcheries, animal health, or technical services preferred.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Technical knowledge of poultry vaccination devices and hatchery operations.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and preventive maintenance skills.
- Ability to train and engage with hatchery staff and customers.
- Knowledge of biosecurity practices and vaccination protocols.
- Languages: Proficiency in Hindi and working knowledge of English is essential.
- Relocation: Ready to Relocate any Part of the country
- Other: Minimum 20 Days Travel Every Month and willingness to travel extensively within the region; flexible to hatchery work schedules (including early mornings).
