Job Description:
Technical Skills/Requirements:   Critical Primary Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the hands-on implementation and management of the Enterprise Monitoring portfolio of tools
• Develop, implement, and customize management packs, monitors, rules, alerts, thresholds and dashboards. 
• Ensure all relevant infrastructure and services are properly covered within our monitoring and alerting systems in a manner consistent with our standards 
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of Infra ops, and architects to understand complex application architectures in order to implement an effective top-down monitoring strategy for holistic service visibility 
• Design and implementation of a progressive monitoring strategy that meets the evolving requirements in IT as we shift towards more modernized architectures, processes, and technologies 
• Engage in evaluation, selection, design, deployment, and advancement of the portfolio of tools used to provide infrastructure and service monitoring. 
• Collaborate with Operations teams to support a cohesive and consistent visibility strategy and incident response process across the enterprise. 
• Lead troubleshooting production issues by providing insight into system health through the use of JCP's suite of monitoring tools. 
• Contribute innovative solutions which incorporate and enhance automation with monitoring, alerting, and incident management. Build and design playbooks to improve efficiency where possible.  Qualifications Required Skills 
• 5 – 10 years of information technology experience, primarily in a relevant critical infrastructure monitoring   
• Experience with designing and engineering solutions to monitor critical systems and network infrastructure across a wide array of technologies and platforms 
• In-depth experience managing monitoring tools such as Netcool, SolarWinds, SCOM, CA-Wiley, Splunk, Optionally Nagios, Netbrain etc. 
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating system management and administration 
• Strong understanding of multitier application architectures and application runtime environments 
• Strong understanding of workflow management and ITSM tools such as Remedy, ServiceNow etc. 
• Strong understanding of alerting & aggregation tools such as PagerDuty, OpsGenie, X Matters, etc. 
• Scripting knowledge of Python, PowerShell and Automation Framework like Ansible 
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative and determination
• Excellent verbal & written communication Desired Skills
• Familiarity with LAN/WAN technologies and clear understanding of basic network concepts / services 
• Familiarity with Unified Communications (VOIP, video communications, telecom, etc.) 
• Experience with monitoring infrastructure in cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure is desired 
• Scripting knowledge of Perl, NodeJS.
