SAP PP Consultant In-House Support, Enhancement & Process Automation (Manufacturing)

Location: Mumbai (On-site)

Experience: 4 to 6 years

Industry: Manufacturing

Role Summary

This role ensures the smooth functioning and continuous improvement of SAP PP (Production Planning) processes post-implementation. The consultant will work closely with production, planning, and IT teams to stabilize operations, resolve issues, and drive automation across planning and shop floor activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support for SAP PP transactions: BOMs, routings, work centers, production orders, and capacity planning
  • Troubleshoot issues related to MRP runs, order confirmations, scheduling, and shop floor control
  • Collaborate with MM, QM, and FICO teams to ensure cross-module integration
  • Design and implement process automation using tools like SAP Workflow, BRF+, and Fiori apps
  • Develop automated solutions for production order release, batch job scheduling, and exception handling
  • Coordinate with ABAP developers for custom enhancements and RPA integrations
  • Optimize planning strategies (e.g., make-to-stock, make-to-order) and align with business goals
  • Support month-end activities: WIP valuation, order settlement, and reporting
  • Conduct training and create SOPs for PP transactions and automated workflows

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, IT, or Operations
  • 4–6 years of SAP PP experience in manufacturing domain
  • Proven experience in post-go-live support and automation
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori apps is a plus
