Grade - 16

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled software test engineer to join our team. Automation Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test strategies and solutions specifically for data-centric applications, Business Intelligence (BI) platforms, and reporting tools. This role requires a strong understanding of both test automation principles and data analytics concepts, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and performance of data pipelines and analytical outputs.

Responsibilities:

•  Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks and scripts for data validation, ETL processes, data warehousing, and BI dashboards using tools like Selenium, custom frameworks.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across various data sources and reporting layers.
• Perform SQL-based data validation and reconciliation against large datasets in relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) and data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake).
• Collaborate closely with data engineers, data analysts, and developers to understand data models, business requirements, and ensure test coverage for data transformations and analytical solutions.
• Implement and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster delivery cycles.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Conduct performance and scalability testing of data pipelines and reporting solutions to identify bottlenecks and ensure optimal performance.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies, particularly in the realm of data quality and analytics.
• Mentor junior team members on automation testing best practices and data validation techniques.
• Ensure the quality and functionality of the final product and provide regular updates to stakeholders on testing progress.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in testing and quality assurance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in test automation, with a significant focus on data-intensive applications.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language for test automation (e.g., Python, Java, C#) and experience with relevant frameworks (e.g., Pytest, TestNG, NUnit).
• Strong expertise in SQL for data querying, validation, and manipulation.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling.
• Familiarity with BI tools and reporting platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with test management tools (e.g.,ALM, Jira, Azure DevOps) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Good to have knowledge of AI and ML experience.
• Understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in an agile environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
