Why We Need you

Ivanti is currently seeking an Associate Software Engineer to work with the ITSM Engineering team on helping customers by ensuring the products are implemented and functioning as needed to achieve their desired outcomes. An Associate Software Engineer on this team will be a cross functional member who can work within a highly experienced group of engineers, as well as collaborate with others outside of the team to build industry leading Service Management.

As an Associate Software Engineer on the Platinum Engineering team for IT Service Management (ITSM) at Ivanti, you will play a critical role in maintaining the stability, performance, and reliability of our enterprise-grade ITSM products that are used by customers worldwide. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, customer support, and product quality — and is ideal for a technically curious, detail-oriented engineer who is eager to understand how large-scale enterprise software operates in the real world.

Your primary responsibility will be to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in existing product versions. You'll analyze customer-reported defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions that balance long-term maintainability with immediate customer needs. You'll collaborate closely with senior engineers, QA, customer support, and product management teams to ensure that fixes are robust, well-tested, and delivered in a timely manner.

You'll gain deep insights into the inner workings of the ITSM platform, working with mature codebases, backend services, APIs, databases, and front-end interfaces. This role provides a strong foundation for long-term growth in software engineering, especially for those interested in enterprise software, product lifecycle management, and engineering excellence.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Analyze, debug, and resolve product issues reported by customers or internal teams.
  • Collaborate with QA, support, and development teams to triage and fix defects.
  • Maintain and enhance existing features in the ITSM product suite.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for coding, testing, and documentation.
  • Assist in hotfixes, service packs, and patch releases for supported product versions.
  • Maintain and write unit/integration tests to ensure product quality.
  • Document fixes and technical procedures as needed.

To Be Successful In The Role, You Will Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of software development experience
  • Proficiency in .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET.Core, JavaScript
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles.
  • Familiarity with databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) and writing SQL queries.
  • Basic understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, Angular, and REST APIs.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

This job posting will remain active until a qualified candidate is identified.
