Deputy Manager

Key Job Responsibilities:

Lead the development of new food products from concept to commercialization, ensuring alignment with business goals and consumer preferences.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Operations to drive product innovation initiatives.

Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends, market insights, and competitor analysis to identify new product opportunities.

Oversee formulation trials, sensory evaluations, and shelf-life studies to ensure product quality, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.

Provide technical support to production teams during scale-up and commercialization phases, addressing any technical challenges or issues that arise.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the R&D team, implementing best practices and optimizing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Stay abreast of emerging technologies and scientific advancements in the field of food science and technology, applying relevant insights to drive innovation and enhance product offerings.

Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance, coaching, and support to facilitate their professional growth and development.

l Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies throughout the product development process.

Candidate Profile

Strong knowledge of food processing techniques, ingredient functionality, and food chemistry.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards related to food product development.

Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Job Specification:

Qualification Bachelor's or master's degree in food science, Food Engineering, or related field.

Experience: Proven experience (7 Years) in food product development within the Food & Nutrition industry, preferably in a managerial or leadership role.
