Technical Team Lead

VortexWeb is looking for a versatile and experienced Technical Lead to serve as a key technical bridge between client requirements and hands-on development. This role requires deep expertise in Laravel (backend) and ReactJS (frontend) to design, develop, and optimize scalable web applications while also leading the technical architecture and guiding junior developers. You will be responsible for translating business needs into robust system blueprints, defining best practices, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects from design to deployment.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Architecture

• Translate business requirements into clear, scalable system blueprints, including workflows, data models, APIs, and integration designs.
• Own the technical design and architecture of all client and internal projects, ensuring solutions are modular, secure, and performant.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, architectural guidelines, and documentation practices.
• Conduct and approve technical design documents and code reviews to maintain quality and consistency.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to mid-level and junior developers, building technical maturity within the team.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks (e.g., performance bottlenecks, integration failures, security gaps) early in the design phase.

Full Stack Development

• Frontend (ReactJS + TailwindCSS): Develop modern, responsive UIs with ReactJS, Redux/React Query. Implement API-driven frontends, form handling, validation, and dynamic state management. Optimize for performance, SEO, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Backend (Laravel + PHP): Build and maintain secure APIs with Laravel. Implement authentication/authorization, queues, background jobs, and caching strategies using Redis. Debug, refactor, and optimize existing codebases for scalability.
• Database & Integrations: Design and optimize schemas in MySQL/PostgreSQL. Build REST APIs and webhook handlers for third-party system integrations, ensuring secure token handling and data transfer.
• App & API Development: Develop internal dashboards, client-facing portals, and web applications. Document and test APIs using Postman/Swagger.

Development & Customization

• Build and maintain custom apps, widgets, and automation scripts for both Cloud and On-Premise environments.
• Customize CRM workflows, pipelines, and entity management to meet client-specific needs.
• Handle On-Premise PHP customizations, including module-level changes and updates.
• Collaborate with DevOps for on-premise deployments, patches, and server-level fixes.

Collaboration & Project Governance

• Collaborate with the Sales and Project Coordination teams to provide technical input on proposals and ensure realistic project timelines.
• Contribute to DevOps practices by defining CI/CD pipelines and collaborating on deployments to AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Route53).
• Document technical specifications and ensure proper versioning and change control for designs.
• Act as the escalation point for complex technical challenges during project delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-7 years of professional experience in full stack development with a strong, hands-on background in Laravel and ReactJS.
• Proven experience in system design, architecture, and documentation (e.g., UML, ER modeling, flowcharts).
• Deep knowledge of web application architecture (front-end, back-end, databases, APIs, cloud).
• Expertise in PHP/Laravel, including Laravel Sanctum, Queues, Redis, and API development.
• Expertise in ReactJS, including Redux, React Query, and TailwindCSS.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL and query optimization.
• Prior experience customizing and integrating with CRM (Cloud & On-Premise).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and CI/CD practices (GitHub Actions).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and risk management skills.
• Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.
