We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Reconciliation Checker.

In this role, you will:

  • Job holder is responsible to undertake reconciliations activities including monitoring of suspense accounts and reporting, recording and escalating any variances.
  • The role involves reconciliation of accounts, monitoring of entries within the specified accounts, identifying exceptions, substantiating account balances.
  • Deliver excellent end to end customer service which provides stakeholders with a positive view of HSBC and meets their expectation in terms of accuracy, timeliness.
  • To handle all the requests and queries as per the business standards and to provide resolution within agreed timescales and in accordance with the Bank's procedures.
  • Potentially oversee a team of staff performing daily account reconciliations and work in liaison with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensuring all end of day checks are duly completed. Work is organized and processed / completed within agreed timescales, including ongoing monitoring and review of workflow and priorities, in accordance with procedures
  • High accuracy of complex processing to meet stringent cut-off times and minimize financial exposure to bank.
  • Reviews monthly GL balances and signoff the balances on Finance systems with accuracy and timely. Participates and supervises UATs relevant to General Ledger reconciliations.

To be successful you will:

  • Graduate in Accounting, Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Proficient knowledge and working experience across in Core reconciliation applications - platforms and relevant knowledge of Core Cards systems.
  • Ability to understand, analyze and interpret numeric data. Ability to learn quickly and transfer knowledge appropriately. Flexibility to work in different shifts.
  • Ability to maintain focus while working with voluminous data, Perform a broad range of managerial responsibilities over others; must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to succeed within a matrix management structure and build and maintain global team relationships
  • Ability to provide superior levels of Customer Service that goes above and beyond the normal expectations.
  • Work experience in Reconciliations teams or WPB related Backoffice teams.
