Job Profile :

We are looking for an Electrical Designer/Draftsman with strong experience in EHV Substation (AIS/GIS) and Transmission Line design. The role involves preparing SLDs, GA drawings, layouts (switchyard, earthing, cable routing, lighting), control & protection schematics, and drafting for OHTL including tower profiles, sag-tension charts, and BOMs.

Key Responsibility Area :

Prepare detailed design and drafting for EHV substations (132kV, 220kV, 400kV, 765kV, etc.) including:

  • Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)

    General Arrangement (GA) drawings

    Layouts (switchyard, cable trench, earthing, lighting)

    Control & protection schematics

    Bill of Materials (BOMs)
  • Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, IS, NEC, and utility standards.

    Update and revise drawings per engineer inputs and site requirements.

    Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines (civil, structural, mechanical).

    Maintain drawing records, revision logs, and document control.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma / Bachelors in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 3-7 years of experience in EHV substation and transmission line design/drafting.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD / MicroStation / EPLAN / relevant drafting tools.
  • Familiarity with PLS-CADD / Tower / SAP2000 (preferred, for transmission lines).
