EEG Technician

We are looking for EEG.

• ensuring patient comfort, and monitoring their condition during the test.
• Procedure Execution: Placing electrodes on the patient's scalp to record brain electrical activity.
• Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Operating EEG machines and other neurodiagnostic equipment, performing routine maintenance and calibration, and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Data Analysis: Monitoring and analyzing the recorded data for abnormalities or abnormal brain patterns.
• Documentation & Reporting: Generating accurate and detailed reports of test results for physicians or neurologists to interpret and use in patient care planning.
• Safety & Protocols: Adhering to infection control, safety protocols, and HIPAA regulations while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Collaboration: Communicating with physicians, neurologists, and other healthcare professionals.

Typical Duties

• Preparing the patient and their scalp for electrode placement.
• Ensuring the proper functioning of EEG equipment and supplies.
• Recognizing and documenting artifacts (interference) in the EEG signal.
• Maintaining organized and confidential patient records.
• Assisting with other neurodiagnostic tests as needed.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of electroencephalography (EEG) equipment and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate data recording.
• Good communication skills for patient education and collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
