Job Brief:

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Test Engineer to design, execute, and maintain test scenarios for mainframe systems. The role involves validating system functionality, identifying defects, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Experience with automation frameworks like Cucumber is a plus, especially for behavior-driven testing in hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test plans, cases, and scripts for mainframe applications.
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using standard tools.
  • Collaborate with development and business teams to resolve issues.
  • Maintain test data and scripts, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
  • Support UAT and post-implementation testing.
  • Utilize tools such as Xpediter, File-Aid, Abend-Aid, and automation frameworks like Cucumber (if applicable).
  • Work with mainframe technologies including COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS.
