Data Engineer - Bangalore

We're looking for a Data Engineer candidate with experience in Power BI, SQL Server, DI with IDMC Platform & Tableau to join our team in Bangalore.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do

• Report Development - Design and develop visually appealing and informative reports using Power BI based on the published data models. Understand the business requirements and translate them into interactive and insightful visualizations. Ensure the reports are intuitive and user-friendly, allowing stakeholders to easily interpret and derive insights from the data.
• Data Ingestion - Continuously monitor data sources and initiate data ingestion processes to ensure the availability of up-to-date data for analysis.
• Troubleshooting - Investigate and troubleshoot data-related issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve any technical problems.
• ETL Maintenance - Regularly review and maintain ETL pipelines, addressing any issues or failures that may arise during data extraction, transformation, or loading.
• Data Model Updates – Work with the data modelling team to modify and enhance data models to accommodate changing business requirements, ensuring data structures remain relevant and efficient.
• Data Quality Checks - Execute automated data quality checks and validation routines to identify data anomalies or discrepancies daily.
• Collaboration - Communicate and collaborate with Tableau and Power BI developers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide necessary support.
• Documentation - Maintain and update documentation for ETL processes, data models, and system configurations to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing.
• Performance Monitoring - Keep a watchful eye on data processing and database performance, proactively identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks or issues.

• Able to complete the assigned activities with schedule and quality parameters.
• Experience in migrating reports/data models from Tableau to Power BI.

Role Essentials

• Candidate must have 3-5 years working as a Data Engineer/Analyst.
• Strong IDMC Data Integration skills to design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines that efficiently extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.
• Preferred to have Power BI PL-300
• Proficiency in Power BI to create visually appealing and insightful reports and dashboards, providing stakeholders with valuable insights and actionable information.
• A proficient understanding of DAX - familiarity with DAX performance optimization techniques and best practices ensures that reports maintain optimal performance and responsiveness even when dealing with large datasets.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL Server databases, ensuring data integrity, optimizing performance, and implementing security best practices, while also developing and maintaining ETL processes.
• Demonstrated experience in implementing data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency, addressing any anomalies or issues that arise.
