Burson, is looking for a Social Media Coordinator for our Mumbai location. The individual will join our Digital team.

We are looking for a creative, data-savvy, and curious Social Media Coordinator. You will help shape a bold and authentic online identity for one of India's most trusted brands. If you love storytelling, spotting trends, know what makes content click, and thrive at the intersection of strategy and creativity, this one's for you. You will work closely with agencies, internal teams, and leaders to create content that's fresh, bold, and aligned with wheat we stand for—while tracking what works and what doesn't across LinkedIn, Instagram, and X.

What you'll do:

  1. Content strategy and creation

    •    Build monthly content calendars and align them with business campaigns and launches.

    •    Coordinate with agency to produce sharp, engaging, platform-appropriate copy for all posts (single images, reels, carousels, videos, etc.).

    •    Plan and post content on LinkedIn, Instagram, and X.

    •    Turn business updates into interesting, social-friendly stories.

    •    Source stories from internal teams and translate them into digestible, relatable formats for external platforms.
  2. Creative development & visual consistency

    •    Brief agencies and work with designers to make content that looks great and feels right.

    •    Ideate new content formats, trends, and hooks that speak to Castrol audience (end consumers, distributors, dealers, shareholders) across platforms.

    •    Use UGC, on-ground activations, and moments from events to fuel storytelling.
  3. Performance tracking & optimisation

    •    Track performance—what's working, what's not, and why.

    •    Generate monthly performance dashboards and provide actionable insights for content optimisation.

    •    Track social listening trends and competitor activity to refine messaging and identify new opportunities.

    •    Help grow our following, engagement, and positive brand presence.

    •    Spot early signs of negative sentiment and manage risks on our social handles.
  4. Stakeholder & agency collaboration

    •    Coordinate with internal stakeholders to identify stories, approvals, and alignment.

    •    Manage agency partners and ensure timely delivery, quality control, and idea freshness.

    •    Ensure all posts are aligned with brand tone, voice, and legal guidelines

Experience that contributes to success:

  • 5+ years of proven experience managing social media strategies for brands, either in-house or agency-side.
  • In-depth, hands-on knowledge of LinkedIn, Instagram, and X, understanding the unique dynamics and best practices of each platform.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives through words and visual concepts.
  • Proficient in social media management and analytics tools such as Sprinklr, Canva, Brandwatch, LinkedIn Analytics, and Meta Business Suite.
  • Experience with paid social promotions, video editing, or influencer marketing campaigns is a plus.
