We ae Hiring for MS SQL Server DBA

Required Experience: 9-15 years

Work location: Kolkata

Must-Have

  • Experience in SQL Server database administration (SQL Server 2012 through 2022).
  • Strong proficiency in installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.
  • Expertise in backup and recovery strategies, using native tools and third-party solutions.
  • Deep understanding of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) techniques (Always On, Log Shipping, Clustering, Mirroring).
  • Strong experience in performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, SQL Profiler, and Execution Plans.
  • Solid T-SQL programming and scripting experience.
  • Experience in managing large and complex databases (TBs of data, high transaction volume).
  • Ability to work in team setting as well as independently.
  • Strong understanding of security and compliance, including encryption, auditing, and role-based access.
  • Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell, T-SQL, or similar tools.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server Agent jobs, SSIS packages, and SQL Maintenance Plans.
  • Good communication skills with both technical and management teams

Good-to-Have

  • Exposure to Azure SQL, SQL on IaaS, or other cloud-based DBaaS solutions
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Git, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
  • Understanding of NoSQL, data lakes, or hybrid data platforms.
  • Experience with SSRS, SSAS, or Power BI integration.
  • Knowledge of Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL administration for cross-platform exposure.
  • ITIL or other service management framework familiarity.
  • Experience working in regulated industries (Retail, finance, healthcare, etc.)
  • Participation in on-call rotations and incident management.
  • Any Cloud Database Certification (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google) are a strong plus.
