Mainframe CICS/MQ Administrator

Location- Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad,

Note: Developer profiles will not be considered

Experience- L3 LEVEL (9-10 years Required)

Mainframe CICS Admin

·       Understanding of a CICS MRO environment (TOR and AOR configuration)

·       Set traces (Aux and GTF) – ability to set traces to aid vendors in problem management and determination.

·       CICS shutdown statistics – be able to produce and interpret shutdown stats to aid in problem determination and growth projections.

·       Understanding of the CICS dynamic storage areas and how to manipulate for short on storage situations or to accommodate future growth of applications.

·       Create both transaction and system dumps (and port to vendors for analysis)

·       RDO (resource definition online) – must be able to create any resource needed on CICS (e.g transactions, programs, files, transient data queue, LSR groups, etc)

·       Web Services – creating and supporting of web services within CICS

·       RACF security – ability to install CICS security requirements, maintain RACF security within CICS and on all CICS resources

·       Tivoli/Omegamon products (this is our monitoring software for CICS, z/OS, MQ, IIB, DB2 and the web portal (on windows) – our CICS admin is responsible for installing and maintaining all these monitoring tools.)

·       Intertest/Symdump – product to debug CICS programs, product to format transaction dumps – install and maintain (and aid developers with questions and use)

·       SDS – CAFC (CICS application file control) – install product and use for control of files, application lists and group lists. Assist Operators when needed on use and problem determination if applications are failing.

·       Trillium and Code1 software – aid in installation and day to day management of software

·       Compuware products specifically File-aid – proficient at manipulation of files through file-aid software

·       Splunk – proficient at creating (modifying) Splunk reports (dashboards) to report on All CICS metrics (e.g CPU consumption, storage consumption, transaction volume, response times, wait times, etc)

Mainframe MQ Admin

·      
Experience in
IBM MQ product installation, upgrades, maintenance, configurations and troubleshooting.

·      

Expertise in administrating, alert setup and monitoring the message process using tools like MQ explorer, Omegamon for MQ and TEPS.

·      

Design the MQ architecture pattern for the message processing flow as per the new application requirement

·      

Defining the MQ objects queues, channel, process definition, Topic, etc .

·      

Skilled at executing IBM MQ utilities to handle the MQ queue messages(backup, deleting a particular records etc..) 

·      
Maintain and adopt the new pagesets & bufferpool according to the application growth in
MQ

·      Knowledge on the MQ queue sharing and MQ clustering to handle the queue managers and its components.

·      Strong knowledge on MQ queue manager creation/migration and daily health check and dead letter queue process automation

·      Good understanding of messaging interfaces and connections to the IBM other products (such as CICS, DB2, IMS..) and third party application servers.

·      Perform MQ online monitoring, investigate MQ CPU usage using
SMF statistics analyze

·      Nice to have knowledge with MQSeries and MQClients on distributed platforms.

·      Nice to have knowledge Mainrame zOS, JCL, VSAM, ISPF and COBOL.

·      IBM and ISV Vendor Coordination for Ticketing Incidents/Problems, SW downloads, Escalations

·      Provide 24x7 after hours on-call support as required for products supported by the team

Mainframe ZOS System Programmer

Minimum 10+ years of broad and in-depth hands-on technical and design/architect level experience in Mainframe z/OS

Experience in a multi-site (multiple Data Center) Mainframe shop of minimum 2,000 MIPS and above.

Work with Client/Customer, OEM & ISV Vendors, Business Partners related to all aspects of the Mainframe Platform.

·       Mainframe Data Center Architecture (Metro Mirror, Global Mirror, MGM, 2/3/4 site GDPS & GDDR)

·       Conversant with both IBM and EMC HW and Replication methodology. Hitachi optional.

·       Mainframe Data Center Physical Planning and Design

·       Experience in IBM z14, z15 & z16 Mainframe HW and Parallel Sysplex/GDPS-GDDR Setup

·       Experience in both IBM and EMC Disk and Tape Storage hardware, software and replication.

·       z/OS v2.x, JES2/JES3, DFSMS, SNA/VTAM & TCP/IP, RMF/SMF

·       Mainframe Tools–SIEM (Q-Radar), z/OS-SA or CA-OPS/MVS Automation

·       Mainframe DB2, MQ, CICS, WAS, Control-M

·       Mainframe Security ACF2

·       Mainframe Capacity Planning and Performance Tuning

·       Experience in Disaster Recovery setup and conducting DR drills.

·       Experience in Mainframe MIPS Optimization, Software rationalization

·       Hands-on experience with Hitachi VSP 5500, IBM DS8000, IBM TS7000 etc.

·       IBM-Metro/Global Mirror, Copy Services, EMC-SRDF, EMC-GDDR

·       Flash Copy, BCV-SnapVX, zDP, Safe Guarded Copy (SGC)

·       Setup and Manager Mainframe DC Storage Replication

Mainframe ZOS System Programmer

L3 : 10+ Years

of experience in Mainframe z/OS Db2 v13 Database Administration

Experience in Mainframe Db2 v12/ v13 Database System-Administration on z/OS

DB2 installation, upgrade, patching, configuration and operations

Proficiency in DB2, VSAM Systems Performance Tuning and Capacity Planning

Experience in Data Sharing setup in Parallel Sysplex environment

Knowledge in ACF2/RACF, CICS v5.5, Mainframe MQ v9

Experience in SMPE and ISV tools installation and migration

Create and maintain database entities, including instances, databases, table spaces and tables

Database DR, Cloning, Backup/Recovery, HA and Point in Time Recovery (PITR) expertise

Experience with Database ISV Tools and Products like OmegaMon and AdminTool

Application related performance tuning; Write, modify, and debug database specific SQL queries

DBA related utilities like Unload, Load, DSNJU003, DSNJU004, Reorg, Runstats, image copy

REXX, CLIST, JCL, JES and Assembler knowledge
