Engineer (m/f)

Tasks

The Engineer mission will be:

• Develop, test, and maintain web applications using technologies such as PHP, Lumen framework, .NET, JavaScript using Azure DevOps
• Create and manage REST APIs for mobile and web applications
• Work on the development and maintenance of admin panels, customer portals, and service provider applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure timely delivery of projects
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms, certificate creation, validation, and API integration
• Manage databases including MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Utilize project management tools such as JIRA and version control systems like Git
• Provide support for production issues, including bug fixing, vulnerability fixes, and database optimizations
• Deploy immediate updates and fixes as required
• Create and execute the roll-out plan
• Emerging technologies/industry trends watch and apply them when relevant.
• All these activities must be handled in full compliance with the IT General Compliance rules and the SOx rules that are applied in the ArcelorMittal group.

What you'll need:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field
• Around 2-4 years of experience in web application development and maintenance
• Proficiency in PHP, Lumen framework, JavaScript
• Familiarity of DevOps processes using Cloud platform like Azure
• Knowledge of .Net framework and/or Angular will be an advantage
• Strong knowledge of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
• Experience with web servers like Apache and Nginx
• Familiarity with development tools such as VS Code, Gitbash, Postman, and Sublime
• Excellent understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and MVC architecture
• Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with the software development life cycle

Other applicant attributes considered as a plus:

• Understanding of ITIL, SOX/ITGC principles.
• Experience in developing e-commerce, education, and social media applications
• Flexibility and adaptability to new technologies and environments
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
