Job Title: Data Analyst (OTT / Digital Media)

Location: Hyderabad, India (Work From Office)

Experience: 3+ years (OTT preferred, gaming experience also considered)

About Chai Shots:

Chai Shots is a regional micro drama vertical OTT app, on a mission to build something fresh in the OTT space, delivering great content and immersive experiences, right from the ground up. We are going 0→1: defining our product, growing our audience, and laying the foundation for scalable growth.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Data Analyst to help us make data-driven decisions, build predictive models, and conduct both qualitative and quantitative analysis to drive growth, engagement and revenue optimization. Experience scaling products or analytics from 0→1 is a major plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze user behavior and engagement in our OTT app to generate actionable insights.

Build dashboards and reports to monitor key metrics such as retention, churn, content consumption, and subscription performance.

Perform predictive analytics for churn prediction, lifetime value (LTV), and other business-critical metrics.

Use event tracking and analytics tools (PostHog or Mixpanel) to optimize conversion funnels and user journeys.

Automate recurring analyses and develop scalable frameworks for ongoing performance tracking.

Collaborate with product, content, and marketing teams to support strategy with data insights.

Inform pricing, subscription models, and revenue optimization through quantitative modeling.

Key Skills & Expertise:

Strong in SQL, Python, ETL, data warehousing, BI & dashboarding

Hands-on experience with analytics tools: PostHog or Mixpanel (or equivalent)

Dashboard/Visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, etc.

Product / Digital Analytics: conversion funnel optimization, user retention, subscription metrics, etc.

Predictive analytics: churn, LTV, segmentation, etc.

Comfortable working in a fast-moving, early-stage startup environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in OTT, streaming, or gaming platforms

Experience in scaling analytics or data systems for a product from 0→1

Exposure to marketing attribution, customer segmentation, or subscription business models

Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) is a bonus
