Experience: 5 – 7 Years

Position Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer with strong Oracle SQL/PLSQL and UNIX scripting skills to design, develop, and support critical applications. The role involves technical analysis, performance optimization, bug fixing, mentoring junior developers, and supporting production issues in coordination with offshore-onshore teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze requirements and perform detailed technical impact analysis (both functional & technical).
  • Design, develop, test, and support applications during implementation.
  • Perform bug fixing and SQL performance tuning for optimal application performance.
  • Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews.
  • Collaborate with Service Delivery, IST, and UAT teams to resolve production issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and adopt Agile development practices.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong Oracle SQL/PLSQL skills.
  • Hands-on experience in SQL performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of scheduling concepts in Oracle.
  • Proficiency in UNIX Shell Scripting.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools like GIT.
  • Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodology.
  • Strong communication, team collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and high motivation.

Added Advantage:

  • Experience with Oracle Goldengate.
  • Exposure to tools like SQL Developer, Putty, Octane, SonarQube, Jenkins.
