Responsibilities

  • Design, model, and draft 3D components and assemblies for UAV structures, payload mounts, and mechanical systems.
  • Develop lightweight and manufacturable drone parts using advanced materials such as carbon fiber and composite plastics.
  • Create detailed 2D technical drawings, GD&T annotations, and assembly documentation for production.
  • Collaborate with electronics, propulsion, and aerodynamics teams to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Optimize designs for performance, weight reduction, manufacturability, and ease of maintenance.
  • Conduct stress, thermal, and vibration simulations to validate design reliability.
  • Coordinate with vendors for fabrication, prototyping, and component sourcing.
  • Maintain revision control of CAD files and ensure compliance with internal design and quality standards.
  • Support R&D and production teams with design updates, tooling modifications, and prototype iterations.
  • Participate in field testing and provide feedback for mechanical improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in CAD design for UAVs, robotics, or precision mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in software such as 
    SolidWorks, CATIA, Autodesk Inventor, or Fusion 360
    .
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, 3D printing), and tolerancing.
  • Experience in 
    FEA (Structural, Modal, Thermal)
     simulation and validation preferred.
  • Knowledge of aerostructure design, propulsion integration, and payload balancing is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, visualization, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple design projects under tight timelines with attention to detail.
