Wiring Harness Engineer (UGNX)

B.E. / B. Tech in Electrical or Electronics.

3 + years of relevant experience in automotive wiring harness (preferably in commercial vehicles).

Knowledge about wiring harness child parts & its selection

Must have extensive Knowledge of automotive electrical circuit schematics / 2d wiring harness design / 3d

Must have knowledge of electrical wiring harness manufacturing

Good knowledge of automotive standards like, SAE J1939, ISO 19624, ISO 8820 etc.

Knowledge of auto electrical global standards & testing methods

Software Skills: Hands on experience on UGNX

Effective team player with good communication skills.

Design Engineer (UGNX)

Vehicle Steering and Suspension

Lead the detailed design and integration of steering and suspension components including linkages, control arms, knuckles, subframes, bushings, and mounts for both BEV and ICE vehicle platforms.

Integrate steering and suspension attachments with the vehicle chassis/frame, ensuring alignment with packaging, NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness), and ride quality targets

Collaborate closely with suspension dynamics and vehicle handling teams to incorporate functional requirements into the mechanical design.

Use UG NX for 3D modeling, detailing, and modifications to accommodate integration requirements while maintaining design standards and engineering best practices

Use Teamcenter PLM for managing design data, revisions, and cross-functional collaboration to maintain design integrity

Exposure in Solid modelling, Detailing, Assembly, Sheet metal, Surfacing, etc

Expert level Competency in Unigraphics - 3D & 2D Environment, Teamcenter PLM

NSO

Manage and execute design modifications and customizations for Non-Standard Orders (NSO) related to vehicle chassis, attachments, steering, suspension, and BEV/ICE integration.

Collaborate with sales, product planning, and customer teams to understand specific NSO requirements and translate them into feasible engineering solutions

Develop and validate customized CAD models and assemblies in UG NX tailored to NSO specifications while ensuring compliance with overall vehicle architecture

Provide technical support during NSO build, installation, and validation to ensure customer requirements are met without compromising vehicle integrity or performance

Exposure in Solid modelling, Detailing, Assembly, Sheet metal, Surfacing, etc

Expert level Competency in Unigraphics - 3D & 2D Environment,

Vehicle Frame/Driveline/Installation

Packaging investigations and integration of vehicle sub systems for commercial vehicles on vehicle frames

Plan and execute mechanical routing for wiring harnesses, coolant lines, high-voltage cables, and pneumatic/hydraulic lines ensuring safety, serviceability, and compliance with packaging constraints

Lead the design and integration of vehicle chassis attachments for both BEV and ICE platforms, including mounting brackets, and interfaces for powertrain, suspension, battery packs, and ancillary systems

Use UG NX for 3D modeling, detailing, and modifications to accommodate integration requirements while maintaining design standards and engineering best practices

Design and manage the integration of BEV auxiliary parts such as inverters, onboard chargers, DC-DC converters, electric motors, and cooling system components within the chassis structure
