Overview:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Middle QA Engineer to join our team. This role requires 3-5 years of experience in both manual and automation testing to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate should be proficient in writing test cases, executing test plans, identifying defects, and automating test scripts using tools like Appium.

As a Middle QA Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to improve testing efficiency and drive high-quality product releases.

Responsibilities

1. Test Case Design & Execution:

2. Write, review, and execute comprehensive test cases based on business and technical requirements.

3. Ensure test coverage across functional, regression, and exploratory testing.

4. Automation Testing:

5. Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Appium and other automation tools.

6. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for faster feedback loops.

7. Defect Tracking & Reporting:

8. Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).

9. Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

10. Test Planning & Strategy:

11. Contribute to test planning, estimation, and execution strategies.

12. Assist in defining testing best practices and quality metrics.

13. API & Performance Testing:

14. Perform API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.

15. Support performance testing efforts where applicable.

16. Collaboration & Communication:

17. Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and improve test coverage.

18. Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.

19. Continuous Improvement:

20. Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in test automation.

21. Contribute to improving testing frameworks and overall QA processes.

Qualifications

1. 3-5 years of experience in software testing, including both manual and automation testing.

1. Strong knowledge of test case design, test execution, and defect tracking.

2. Hands-on experience with Appium (or other mobile automation tools).

3. Familiarity with Selenium, WebDriver, or similar automation frameworks.

4. Experience with test management tools like TestRail, Xray, or similar.

5. Proficiency in API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured.

6. Knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) for test automation.

7. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

9. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
• Exposure to performance testing using JMeter, Gatling, or similar tools.
• ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications.
