Specialist - Pricing Analysis

Key Responsibilities:
Pricing Analysis and Strategy Support:
Analyze pricing structures and recommend adjustments to align with market conditions, competitor offerings, and company goals.
Perform competitive pricing analysis and identify trends or changes in pricing strategies within the industry.
Support the development and optimization of pricing models based on customer segmentation, value proposition, and market demand.
Market and Customer Insights:
Conduct in-depth analysis of customer data and market trends to understand price sensitivity, demand elasticity, and purchasing behavior.
Provide insights into how external factors (e.g., economic conditions, industry shifts) affect pricing strategies and recommend proactive adjustments.
Track customer feedback and sales performance to gauge the effectiveness of pricing strategies and recommend improvements.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
Monitor and report on key pricing metrics, including margin analysis, price realization, and revenue impact.
Collaborate with the finance team to evaluate the financial implications of pricing changes, including cost structure and profitability.
Develop and maintain dashboards to provide ongoing tracking of pricing performance and KPIs.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
Work closely with sales, product, and marketing teams to ensure alignment between pricing strategies and business objectives.
Provide guidance on pricing for new product launches and promotional campaigns.
Support the sales team by providing pricing insights and analysis to help negotiate and close deals.
Pricing Tools and Systems Management:
Utilize pricing software and systems to track pricing changes, ensure compliance, and optimize pricing processes.
Continuously evaluate and implement improvements to pricing tools, methodologies, and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure that pricing data is accurate and up to date across systems and databases.
Profitability and Cost Analysis:
Conduct cost analysis to ensure pricing strategies are aligned with product costs and desired margins.
Work with product teams to determine the optimal pricing for new products based on cost structures and market demand.
Evaluate the impact of discounting strategies and provide recommendations to improve profitability.
Reporting and Presentations:
Prepare regular pricing reports and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting key trends, insights, and recommendations.
Provide pricing-related insights and strategic recommendations to influence business and financial decision-making.
Communicate pricing recommendations clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
Advanced certifications in pricing, data analytics, or finance (e.g., Certified Pricing Professional (CPP), CFA) are a plus.
Experience:
2-4 years of experience in pricing analysis, financial analysis, or a related field.
Experience with pricing strategies, market analysis, and financial modeling.
Familiarity with CRM and pricing management systems (e.g., Salesforce, CPQ tools, Excel, Tableau).
Skills:
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI) and financial modeling.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey insights and recommendations to various stakeholders.
Attention to detail and ability to handle large datasets with accuracy.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of competitive intelligence and market research tools.
Experience in SaaS, technology, or product-based industries.
Familiarity with pricing models such as tiered pricing, dynamic pricing, or value-based pricing.
