We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Tech SME

In this role, you will:

• The associate will be working closely with Core Banking Germany team and technology architects to transform Core Banking legacy application.
• The associate will guide and coach to make sure that the standards and guidelines for IT development is adhered to.
• Work closely with architects, business analysts and component leads during discovery and elaboration phase to ensure the solution is technically feasible
• Execution of proof of concepts
• Liaise with multiple downstream team, AIM (HSBC standard) team to set design standards and review the same periodically
• Maintain engineering related defects to a minimum.
• Always be in touch with industry trends and bring in best practices to keep the engineering process relevant and effective.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Hands on with designing, developing and maintaining high-quality Java / Springboot applications
• Develop best practices and participate in code reviews with the team and other stakeholders.
• Conduct technical analysis to arrive at solutions and create technological artefacts in response to production issues.
• Hands on in Automation: Design and implement automation scripts . Expertise in Git and Git Hub.
• Should possess a strong command of software-automation production systems (Jenkins). Should Possess a strong command of software-automation production systems. Should be able to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software deployments and releases.
• Well versed with usage of Containers tech stack (Docker, Kubernetes, GKE). Certified Kubernetes Administrator would really get a preference.
• Should have a good hold of Observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheous, Splunk, AppDynamics, CloudWatch
• Hands on with Python scripting.
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL (Structured Query Language).
• Experience in developing restful services and APIs and integration with outside applications
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining robust data streaming application using Apache/ Confluent Kafka is a strong advantage.
• Cloud experience with Kafka as a service on AWS or GCP Pub/Sub is plus.
