Video Editor – Untold Mantras (Marketing Division of LetsMapIt)

Location: Remote

Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹8,000–₹15,000/month (based on skills & speed)

About the Role

Untold Mantras decodes how India's top brands build attention. We're hiring a Video Editor who can turn raw footage into high-retention Reels/Shorts and polished podcast episodes. This role is hands-on and output-focused.

What You'll Do

  • Edit Instagram Reels & YouTube Shorts (hook-first, high-retention).
  • Edit long-form podcast videos into clean, well-paced episodes.
  • Create thumbnails for YouTube & Instagram (CTR-focused).
  • Add bilingual captions (Hindi & English – mandatory).
  • Add motion graphics, SFX, text overlays, and transitions.
  • Insert timestamps/chapters in long videos.
  • Do basic audio clean-up (noise reduction, leveling, sync).
  • Collaborate with the content team; follow briefs & deadlines; iterate fast.

Must-Have Skills (Applications without these will be rejected)

  • Portfolio link with video samples (Reels/Shorts + at least 1 long-form/podcast).
  • Bilingual captioning (Hindi & English) – accurate & well-timed.
  • Thumbnail design (YouTube + IG covers) using Canva/Photoshop.
  • Motion graphics & SFX basics (text animations, lower-thirds, logo stings).
  • YouTube timestamps/chapters formatting.
  • Tools: Comfortable in Premiere Pro/CapCut/Final Cut (any one) + Canva.

Not a graphic design role. If your portfolio is only posters/banners without video edits, please do not apply.Nice to Have

  • After Effects / CapCut templates / basic color correction.
  • Understanding of marketing hooks, trend formats, and pacing.

Typical Weekly Output (to set expectations)

  • 4–6 Reels/Shorts
  • 1 podcast episode (20–40 mins)
  • 6–10 thumbnails/covers (per content pieces)
  • (Output may vary; deadlines are non-negotiable.)

Qualifications

  • Minimum: 10+2 completed (no ongoing studies).
  • A diploma/certificate in video editing/multimedia is a plus (not mandatory).
  • Portfolio is mandatory.
