DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and foundational DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic technical team. This role is ideal for someone early in their DevOps career who is eager to learn and contribute to building a secure, automated, and observable infrastructure. You will work closely with senior engineers to support cloud environments, enhance CI/CD processes, and implement best practices in a collaborative setting. This is a hands-on role where you will gain valuable experience with modern tools and technologies across infrastructure, automation, compliance, and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Configuration Support:

• Assist in building and maintaining cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Maintain and execute Ansible playbooks for server configuration and application deployment.
• Support infrastructure drift correction and scheduled configuration runs using tools like AWX/Tower.

CI/CD Pipeline Support:

• Help maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Bitbucket.
• Implement pre-commit hooks and security scans within CI/CD workflows.
• Use Git effectively for version control, branching strategies, and enforcing commit standards.

Containerization & Orchestration:

• Containerize applications using Docker and troubleshoot container-related issues.
• Assist in deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes or AWS ECS.
• Support blue-green and canary deployments for resilience and rollback capabilities.

Monitoring, Observability & Troubleshooting:

• Use monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch to track system health and respond to alerts.
• Integrate logs, metrics, and traces into unified dashboards for observability.
• Act as a point of support for troubleshooting application, OS, and network-level issues.

Security & Compliance:

• Deploy and manage security agents such as Wazuh across infrastructure.
• Enforce Policy as Code using tools like Open Policy Agent (OPA).
• Monitor for unauthorized Git activity and support automated compliance reporting.

Developer Enablement & Automation:

• Contribute to developer self-service platforms using tools like or Portainer.
• Support role-based access for deployments and rollbacks.
• Participate in building dashboards for deployment metrics, security scans, and rollback events.

Skills and Qualifications

Experience:

• 1–2 years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud, or System Administration roles with a focus on automation and infrastructure as code.

Technical Skills:

• Cloud Platforms
  : Solid understanding of AWS or GCP services (e.g., EC2, S3, IAM, RDS).
• CI/CD
  : Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Bitbucket.
• Containerization
  : Hands-on experience with Docker; familiarity with Kubernetes or ECS is a plus.
• Scripting
  : Proficiency in Bash or Python.
• Version Control
  : Strong Git skills including branching, merging, and commit standards.
• Infrastructure/Configuration
  : Experience with Terraform and Ansible; knowledge of AWX/Tower is beneficial.
• Monitoring
  : Exposure to Prometheus, Grafana, and centralized logging tools.
• Security
  : Familiarity with Wazuh, OPA, and CI/CD security integrations.

Added Advantages:

• Experience with Activepieces for integration and dashboarding.
• Exposure to SonarQube for code quality and security scanning.
• Understanding of networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, firewalls).
• Any AWS, GCP, or CNCF certification.

Education
