Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled GST Manager to independently manage GST compliance, advisory, audit, and departmental matters for our clients. Prior experience working with a Chartered Accountants Firm is compulsory. The candidate must be fully proficient in all GST-related work, including GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C.

Key ResponsibilitiesGST Compliance & Filing

  • Independently manage monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and GSTR-9C.
  • Perform GST reconciliations, data validation, and review of client GST workings.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all GST returns across multiple clients.

GST Audit & Annual Compliances

  • Prepare and review GSTR-9 & GSTR-9C, including turnover reconciliation, ITC analysis, and variance reporting.
  • Manage GST audits, certifications, and responses to audit observations.

Advisory & Client Management

  • Provide GST advisory on classification, rate applicability, ITC eligibility, place of supply, and related matters.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and resolve complex GST queries.
  • Update clients on amendments, notifications, and compliance changes.

Litigation & Departmental Matters

  • Draft replies to GST notices, inquiries, and show-cause notices.
  • Assist in assessments, departmental hearings, inspections, and follow-ups.

Internal Review & Team Support

  • Review GST workings prepared by junior staff.
  • Provide guidance and support to the team on GST matters.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Mandatory: Prior work experience in a Chartered Accountants Firm (minimum 3–5 years).
  • Strong proficiency in all GST compliances, especially GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C.
  • Deep knowledge of GST law, ITC rules, reconciliations, and practical implementation.
  • Experience in GST audit, annual returns, and departmental proceedings.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple clients and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • B.Com / M.Com
  • CA Dropout preferred
  • GST certification or specialized GST training will be an added advantage.
