Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP FI Consultant to support finance transformation and SAP-driven process excellence for one of our clients. The consultant will be responsible for configuring, implementing, and supporting SAP FI solutions aligned with business and compliance requirements. The role requires strong functional expertise, business process understanding, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver finance solutions that drive accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

The SAP FI Consultant will play a key role in enabling end-to-end financial processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and Bank Accounting while integrating with Controlling (CO) and other modules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze client finance and accounting requirements and design SAP FI solutions to meet business needs.
  • Configure and support FI sub-modules (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Special Ledger).
  • Perform gap analysis, prepare functional specifications, and collaborate with ABAP developers for custom solutions.
  • Lead or support FI-related project activities including new implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and support.
  • Ensure integration with other modules (CO, MM, SD, PP, HR) for seamless end-to-end process flows.
  • Provide expertise on financial closing, tax compliance, and reporting requirements.
  • Perform system testing (unit, integration, UAT) and assist with data migration activities.
  • Conduct end-user training, prepare documentation, and support knowledge transfer.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, provide timely resolutions, and ensure minimal disruption to business.
  • Collaborate with finance leadership and stakeholders to recommend process improvements and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 4–10 years of experience as an SAP FI Consultant with at least 2 full-cycle SAP implementations.
  • Strong hands-on experience in FI sub-modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Accounting).
  • Knowledge of integration points with CO, MM, SD, and other SAP modules.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate business requirements into SAP solutions.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
