Technical Program Management II

Are you passionate about delivering impactful app experiences that delight customers and drive business value? As a Program Manager 2 – Surface App Feature PM, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the vision for the Surface app, ensuring it continues to be a trusted companion for Surface customers worldwide.

This role combines Product Vision Ownership for key feature areas with Technical Program Management (TPM) responsibilities to drive execution in partnership with design, engineering, and cross-functional teams. You will also manage strategic partnerships inside and outside Surface, ensuring alignment and timely delivery of high-quality features.

You'll work on a diverse set of initiatives—from enabling new customer-facing features to supporting incubation projects that explore the future of Surface experiences. This is an opportunity to influence the Surface ecosystem and deliver features that matter.

Feature Ownership & Execution

Define and drive the vision and roadmap for assigned app features, ensuring alignment with brand principles, business goals, and customer needs.

Partner with design and engineering teams to deliver feature investments on time and with high quality.

Champion the integration of AI-driven insights and capabilities into app features to enhance personalization, automation, and customer value.

Technical Programme Management

Lead execution for platform migrations and feature enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.

Define clear success metrics and track progress across milestones.

Leverage AI-powered analytics and predictive modelling to inform prioritization and improve feature performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Build strong partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and unblock dependencies.

Act as the primary liaison for feature-related discussions and decisions.

Promote a frontier mindset by identifying opportunities to apply emerging technologies and innovative approaches in collaboration with incubation teams.

Innovation & Incubation Support

Support exploratory work with incubation teams, contributing to early-stage concept validation and prototyping efforts.

Drive experimentation with AI and next-generation technologies to accelerate concept-to-market cycles.

Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in program management or product management, with a focus on app or software feature delivery.

Proven ability to manage end-to-end feature lifecycle, from ideation to launch.

Strong technical understanding of app development frameworks and platform migration

Strong knowledge of AI technologies and their application in product experiences.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience working in cross-functional, global teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Surface devices and the Surface app ecosystem.

Experience with telemetry, feedback systems, and customer engagement workflows.

Exposure to innovation or incubation programmes.

Strong analytical skills and ability to define success metrics.
