Mandatory Skillsets

The core mandatory skills required to perform this role successfully are:

  • Technical Proficiency:

    Advanced SQL and/or SAS (Essential for data extraction and manipulation).

  • Hands-on experience with Python or R for data analysis is a strong plus, and increasingly becoming standard.

  • Data Visualization & Reporting:

  • Experience with Tableau or Power BI (highly desirable/essential for creating dashboards and reports).

  • Ability to create clear, compelling, and informative data visualizations.

  • Domain Expertise:

  • Proven experience (6+ years) in a data analytics role within the Financial Services Industry, with a specific focus on Credit Cards.

  • Familiarity with the credit card product lifecycle, key metrics (acquisition, retention, risk, profitability), and industry best practices.

  • Analytical & Soft Skills:

    Strong Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills (Ability to interpret complex data, identify patterns, and draw conclusions).

  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills (Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and compelling presentations/narratives - Storytelling).
  • Business Acumen (Solid understanding of credit card business models and profitability drivers).
  • Collaboration and Proactive/Self-Motivated work ethic
