Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented NDT Engineer with 25 years of hands-on experience in the rubber products industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting non-destructive testing (NDT) to ensure the integrity and quality of products, particularly rubber components used in critical applications such as Railways, aerospace, industrial, or sealing systems.
Key Responsibilities:Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques including Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT), and Visual Inspection (VT) on rubber and composite materials.
Interpret and analyze NDT results to identify defects or inconsistencies in products.
Collaborate with quality assurance, production, and design teams to resolve non-conformance issues.
Maintain detailed inspection and test records in compliance with quality standards.
Assist in developing and optimizing inspection procedures and techniques for rubber components.
Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASNT, ASTM, ISO, etc.) and customer specifications.
Support failure analysis and root cause investigations when required.
Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment and tools regularly.
Participate in audits, quality meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:Diploma or B.Tech /B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
years of relevant experience in NDT, specifically in rubber/metal based product manufacturing Industry (POT PTFE Elastomeric Bearings).
Certification in NDT methods (Level II or higher) as per ASNT/ISNT standards.
Strong understanding of material properties, especially rubber and elastomers.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and quality standards.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Proficient in MS Office and relevant inspection software/tools.
Preferred Qualifications:Exposure to Rubber / Metal components.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other quality management systems.
Hands-on experience with rubber molding or extrusion processes is a plus.
