SORIN is a global enterprise software company known for simplifying IT operations and performance monitoring across cloud and hybrid environments. Leading enterprises trust their cloud-native observability and AIOps platforms to manage complex systems at scale. The Marketplace initiative is one of their strategic bets to enable seamless self-service commerce, third-party integrations, and partner monetization across their platform ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Backend Services for Marketplace Commerce
- Design and implement scalable backend systems for: Customer license provisioning, Usage data collection and metering
- Integration with billing, entitlement, and CRM systems
- Partner product onboarding and pricing models
- Develop RESTful and event-driven services using Kotlin, Java, or Go Cloud-Native Engineering
- Build and operate microservices in Kubernetes environments across AWS, GCP, or Azure. Implement best practices for reliability, observability, and cloud security in backend services. Ensure compliance and robustness in financial and customer-facing systems
- Technical Ownership & Collaboration
- Participate in architectural discussions for Marketplace features
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Product, UX, Finance, Revenue Operations, SRE
- Conduct code reviews and help maintain high engineering standards Performance & Monitoring
- Optimise systems for throughput, latency, and scale
- Instrument APIs and backend flows with metrics, logs, and tracing for observability
- Address operational issues proactively and ensure service SLAs
Required Skills & Experience
- 6–8 years of backend software engineering experience, preferably in product-driven environments
- Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, or Go
- Experience designing event-driven systems, APIs, and scalable backend architectures.
- Knowledge of cloud-native tools (Kubernetes, Docker, microservices patterns)
- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with billing systems, license management, or SaaS metering is a strong plus
- Strong debugging and performance optimisation skills
- Excellent communication and ability to collaborate across time zones
Nice to Have
- Background in commerce systems, payment workflows, or SaaS subscription platforms
- Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
- Knowledge of architectural patterns like CQRS, Saga, or event sourcing
- Experience working with internal platforms or plugin marketplaces
- Contributions to open-source or experience mentoring junior developers
