AWS DevOps Engineer

About Position:

We are seeking a DevOps Lead to drive the design, implementation, and optimization of DevOps practices across a multi-application cloud environment. The role will span AWS DevOps with a strong focus on automation, Kubernetes, and deployment reliability.

What You'll Do:

• An AWS DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the automated pipelines and cloud infrastructure that accelerate software delivery on Amazon Web Services.
• In this role, you'll primarily focus on automation, reliability, and security across the entire software development lifecycle.
• Build and Manage CI/CD Pipelines:
• Design, implement, and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using AWS services like Code Pipeline, Code Build, Code Deploy, and third-party tools like Jenkins to automate the process from code commit to production deployment.
• Ensure the pipelines enable rapid, reliable, and secure software releases.
• Deploy and Manage Cloud Infrastructure (IaC):
• Automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources (like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Ensure infrastructure is scalable, secure, and highly available by implementing configurations like auto-scaling and load balancing.
• Ensure System Observability and Reliability:
• Set up comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting using AWS services like CloudWatch, X-Ray, and Prometheus/Grafana to track application and infrastructure performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Foster DevOps Culture and Security:
• Integrate security practices ("DevSecOps") into the CI/CD pipeline, including vulnerability scanning and secrets management (e.g., using AWS Secrets Manager).
• Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to streamline workflows, optimize resource utilization, and promote a culture of shared responsibility and continuous improvement.

• Troubleshooting experience
• CICD - Jenkins (CloudBees)
• Troubleshooting pipelines execution. reconfiguration as required (no need to have experience on writing new pipelines)
• Infra as a code
• Terraform
• Containers
• Docker
• Kubernetes (cluster management and apps deployment)
• Configuration management
• Executing Ansible playbook (not writing)
• Cloud Networking
• Overall concept of networking in cloud, firewall, routing design
• troubleshooting skills
• Observantly (grafana stack)
• Tools (Sonatype -Repository, Nexus IQ, Nexus Firewall, SBCOM Manager), Wiz
