Role & responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments of patients.
  • Evaluate patient medical histories, allergies, medications, and risk factors.
  • Advise on preoperative fasting and medication management.

  • Explain anesthesia plans and obtain informed consent.

  • Monitor patients vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, etc.).

  • Lead the care of critically ill patients in ICU (medical, surgical, neuro, or cardiac ICUs).

  • Perform regular rounds and develop individualized care plans.
  • Manage ventilators, central lines, arterial lines, and other invasive procedures.
